TripSync

TripSync is a virtual travel agent.

TripSync was developed to bring all the booking needs of a business traveller together on one site. The interface allows you to select a destination, along with the number of days you will be there. You can then search for flights to suit your time of departure, browsing by price, class, airline, or even aircraft type. Once you've selected a flight, you can do other things, like choose a car rental firm if you want. TripSync already knows when your flight is landing and when your return flight takes off, so will take this into account and make sure you select a car with the correct drop-off time. Finally, you can book a hotel for the nights you will be staying. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be possible to sort the hotel options by price, so you will have to manually click on each hotel in order to view the price separately. Once you have put your customized trip together, you can book it at once, or put it on hold to book later. Multiple trips can be stored in different tabs, and you can synchronize your trips with Outlook or Google calenders.

TripSync competes with other online travel agents, such as Travelocity. However, it doesn't seem to have as broad a selection of flights available. For example, it could only find one direct flight between Amsterdam and New York JFK on a certain day, even though multiple flights are available between these two airports. TripSync's selling point is it's ability to bundle all the needs of a business traveller into one site.

The site's design looks slightly aged and not too pretty to look at, but it loads quickly and is easy to use. It does make use of a large pop-up window for the booking interface, so be sure that you have your pop-up blocker settings correctly adjusted.

The registration process only asks for basic information and you won't have to validate your e-mail before using the site. You will not be asked to specify a username, and this can become confusing when you are asked to sign in under your "username"; your username is your e-mail address.

TripSync is a free service, funded by booking commission. Normally the user is billed a $5 booking fee, but this was waived by the site at the time of writing.

You won't find the cheapest flight deals via TripSync, but if you are a business traveller looking for an easy way to book all of your business travelling needs at once, then this can be a useful site.
