30 Boxes
What is it?
30 Boxes is a calender made for the web. Of course it offers all the basic calendar functionality, but it also integrates with many other services. Get content from your blog, instant messaging and you can show your friends what you are doing on your facebook profile page. History and current usage
30 Boxes was started in 2006 by three people that previously started Webshots. Difference from other applications
Compared to applications such as Google Calendar 30 Boxes offers more integration with other services. It allows you to import and export events seamlessly. On top of that it offers natural language entry of events which is much faster than using a graphical interface. Look and feel
The website is has a minimal look. The widescreen calendar view is made for maximum functionality. Because it is fullscreen you can use much more of your monitor real estate. You can easily drag and drop events to reschedule them. Registration process
Registration requires a valid email address, which needs to be confirmed. They ask for your first and last name but no other information is required. After your account is complete you can add friends, birth dates and profiles. Pricing
30 Boxes is free. In the future they might charge you for their services. Recommend
When you are in or just out of college you are probably managing multiple services to stay in touch with your friends. 30 Boxes is the best way to integrate them and stay on top of things.
