Yahoo Notepad is an application for recording and organizing notes. This is a component of a Yahoo account.
This application is very simple and basic. There are no font attributes (bold, italics, colors) and options are very limited.
Add Note opens a very simple text editor. Users may enter a note, choose a folder – notes may be unfiled, placed in a folder, or in a newly created folder.
Notes then appear in a list. Users may view all or by folder. Notes are also searchable. To edit a note, simply click on the note in the list. It will open the text editor and allow users to revise.
A printable view is offered, complete with Yahoo logo at the top and Yahoo copyright on the bottom.
Users must simple register for a Yahoo account. This requires full name, gender, birthdate, country, postal code, username, password, alternate email or secret question in case of forgotten sign in information, and captcha code.
Yahoo Notepad is free, as is a general Yahoo account.
Anyone seeking a very simple note taking application that is integrated with their Yahoo account may find use for Notepad. If, however, a user is seeking to have more advanced text features, they should look elsewhere.
