WorkSimple encourages growth and progress through social goal sharing. The user creates an account and shares a goal with their team. Employees and managers can build individual goals as well. As the user completes parts of their goals, they can record their progress and track success through WorkSimple. Social goals allow others to provide suggestions, information or come up with their own ideas inspired by the original user’s goal. Managers can build goals for their team or department that help them work to larger business goals. Companies can take social goals to another level by using WorkSimple to track their overall progress towards company-wide achievements. This process of goal sharing also allows everyone involved to see the over arching goals and gain a better understanding of how their contributions are helping the company or team move in the direction it wants or needs to.
WorkSimple was founded by Ben Moore and Morgan Norman. The idea formed as a simple way to measure individuals based on the work they do and results they obtain. Moore and Norman branched out from this basic concept and used it to build the foundation for WorkSimple. The application would rate performance and success based on the work the individual, team or company puts in and the number of goals they reach. Today, WorkSimple offers an effective solution for companies and teams operating in many industries.
The focus of WorkSimple is what makes it so appealing. Rather than remaining stuck on the process, WorkSimple highlights the end goals as well as progress towards them. This also adds a layer of transparency because groups of employees or teams can see what they need to do and what larger goals they are helping to achieve. The individual is far more likely to make better decisions about their daily tasks when they know what the overall goals are for the company.
WorkSimple hints at a user friendly interface and navigable design. The application really delivers in this area. The site uses a friendly blue, white and black color scheme that features plenty of open space so the user never feels crowded or overwhelmed while setting up and monitoring goals. Simple menus allow the user to select options when setting up goals while text fields permit customized entries for goals tailored to the user’s industry and purpose. The site is very user friendly and contains no clutter.
A new goal setter can begin by clicking the drop down box at the bottom of the WorkSimple homepage. The box asks the user what kind of goals they have.
