Wetpaint is free wiki hosting service. This application makes it easy to create and host an own wiki.
Wetpaint was launched on March 6th, 2006. Wetpaint is especially aimed at making an intuitive, easy to use wiki. The wiki service is used for different kinds of purposes: both professional and business. Wetpaint moved from a Wiki hosting service to a news and gossip site in September 2010.
Most wiki services still require some html coding and are difficult to navigate. Wetpaint is an exception. Wetpaint is also easy to use for non-techie people and has beautiful page designs to choose from.
Wetpaint wikis have a nice and modern design. The service is, unlike many other wiki hosts, highly intuitive. Text and other content, like videos, photos and hyperlinks, are easy to add. A wide range of designs is available to choose from; from colorful to business style.
The registration process is very easy. You only need a valid e-mail address. It is also possible to sign up with OpenID.
Wetpaint is completely free to use. For big brands, which need more customization, a service is offered called "Just Add Wetpaint". The look and feel of the wiki page can be completely customized including graphical and assets and conventions, technologies, domain and advertisings. Pricing for this service begins at $10.000 for implementations, depending on the desired degree of customization.
Wetpaint is recommended for everyone who needs a wiki. Large companies use it, CBS for example uses Wetpaint for a CSI community. But because this wiki service is highly intuitive it is also suitable for personal use.
