Webnode is an online application that allows anyone to create their own websites even if they have none or little technical know how. Webnode is a completely free service for normal customers, but any customers requiring higher than normal storage or bandwidth will have to pay. Similar services include Google Page Creator, Sampa, RealEditor and Weebly.
Webnode produces a number of different products, including a website builder, email, statistics package and even a white label solution.

There are lots of different website builders on the internet most of which are easy to use. However unlike many others webnode does not have any adverts on your site. It’s quick and easy to use, completely free and isn’t supported by adverts. The only way that they will make money is if you upgrade to a higher service because you need more bandwidth or storage. Webnode also features a showcase of some popular sites that were built using their technology. It’s also possible to create an online store using the same software.
How does the application look and feel to use?
Using webnode to create a website is very easy because it does most of the hard work for you. You don’t need to learn HTML and you don’t even need to use anything as complicated as dream weaver to get a fantastic website. Webnode strips away all of the unnecessary features while still allowing you to design and create fantastic looking websites.
When you create your site you will first choose a template, there are dozens of different templates to choose from. You then complete the rest of the steps and your site will be built for you.
How does the registration process work?
Signing up for an account is just what you would expect. It’s easy and quick. You first need to choose a project name, this will form your subdomain address so be careful when choosing it. Then you need to enter your email and choose a password. You’re not asked to confirm your password so make sure you enter it carefully. You will then receive an activation email which you will have to read and follow the instructions in to activate your account.
What does it cost to use the application?
Webnode is completely free to use however there are a number of premium accounts that you can sign up for if you need more advanced features. The free account comes with 10MB of storage space, and 1GB of bandwidth per month. Subscription accounts start at €7.95 per month and include 300MB storage with 3GB of bandwidth. It’s possible to remove the footer on some paid subscriptions to further customize your site.
