What can you use the app for?
Viagogo.com is an online ticket exchange that serves the North American and European markets. The site provides an exchange for tickets to concerts, sporting events, theatre and the arts. Sellers list their tickets for sell on the site and can choose from a fixed price or auction listing. Sellers are required to register their credit card information on the site – this is to guarantee against sales fraud. Their credit card will not be charged unless they do not deliver the tickets to the buyer. The site guarantees buyers that they will receive the tickets they buy in time for the scheduled event. The site has the tickets for sale listed in convenient categories. Buyers have the option of searching for tickets by keyword. The concerts section is broken down into categories by genre. The sporting events category is organized into categories by sport. The theatre and arts category is organized by musicals, classical concerts, comedies and opera. The site earns its revenue by charging a commission on ticket sales to the buyer. The site has tickets for virtually every major scheduled event, and purchasing tickets is an easy process. Buyers can choose date, time and preferred seating.
What is the history and popularity of the app?
London-based Viagogo was founded in mid-2006 by Eric Baker. Eric Baker was also the founder of competitor StubHub. He is currently CEO, while John Morris is COO. The site has undergone continuous growth since launch, and currently serves thousands of unique monthly visitors. The site has an Alexa page rank below the 75,000 mark.
What are the differences to other apps?
Competition to Viagogo comes from sites such as TicketExchange, Ebay, Craigslist, StubHub and Seatwave. All of these sites offer a service similar to Viagogo, however Ebay and Craigslist are not as secure. TicketExchange, SeatWave and StubHub all have safeguards in place to guarantee buyers receive their tickets. Viagogo has a more professional look than any of the other sites.
How does the web app look and feel to use?
The Viagogo site has a very clean and uncluttered look and feel. Navigation is intuitive and page loads quite responsive. The category organization is excellent. The site has a search bar and top menu bar shown on all pages of the site. Headings on the top menu bar include Home, Concert Tickets, Sports Tickets, and Art and Theater Tickets. There is also a link to My Account and a Help section shown on all pages. A small amount of advertising is shown on the site. All of this advertising is from sports teams, etc. for which the site is an official reseller.
How does the registration process work?
Registration at the Viagogo site is required to use the site. The registration process asks for first and last name, email address, password, phone and security question and answer. Validation of the email address is not required.
What does it cost to use the application?
Registration at the Viagogo site is free. The site accepts Visa, Mastercard and PayPal as payment for tickets. Sellers must register a Visa or Mastercard in order to sell tickets.
Who would you recommend the application to?
The Viagogo site is recommended to buyers interested in tickets to an event and sellers who have extra tickets they would like to sell. The buying process is very easy, and the site is very well organized. The site has a good selection of tickets to upcoming events, and either the price is less than retail or the tickets are already sold out and being sold at a premium.

After reading the reviews written by others, I have to burst into type and share my Viagogo experience. bought two tickets to a RWC 2011 match, I went into this with open eyes knowing that I was going to pay a premium. It hurt a bit when the tickets arrived with a face value of NZ$120.00 and I paid NZ$330.00, it did however include commissions, couriers etc. The tickets arrived on time, the seats as advertised and all was good.WE are all in business to make money so WELL DONE VIAGOGO!!!!!

Have been waiting 45 mins to get through to customer services on the phone. And no danger of getting any response immediately either. This is really poor.
