TuCloud hosted desktops are intended for a variety of industries and are currently in use in hospitals, schools and government facilities. Users can access 24 hour tech support when purchasing virtual hosted desktop services. TuCloud handles the development side of desktop virtualization for many large, well-known companies and organizations. The site boasts TuCloud’s service as the first cloud hosted virtual desktop solution. The service caters primarily to companies and organizations with 50 or more users. Users can choose among various services, including HDX (High Definition User Experience) features and hosted virtual desktops for Mac OS.
TuCloud was founded in January of 2009. The application supplies users with hosted virtual desktops as well as related consulting and technology services. The service has received plenty of attention from big name companies including Vesk, Virtual Computer, Hewlett Packard and Citrix. The first is the Cloud User account which costs $29.99 per month per user and includes 1.5 GB of desktop ram, 250 MBs of persistent storage space, 1 CPU per desktop unlimited desktop bandwidth and free 24 hour support. The Knowledge User account costs $49.99 per month per user and includes 2 GBs of desktop ram and 4 GBs of persistent storage per desktop. The Power User account costs $79.99 per month per user and includes 4 GBs of desktop ram, 2 CPUs per desktop and 8 GBs of persistent storage. Each account requires a minimum of 50. Accounts for more than 150 users require a custom price quote.
Tucloud is intended for medium to large size businesses in need of a virtual desktop solution. The company offers variety of services along with its hosted virtual desktops and HDX features. Company accounts begin at 50 users, which means a high per month subscription fee that might be a bit lofty for a new or small business to fit into their monthly budget. No individual account is currently available.
