Tripwiser can be used to compile your daily holiday itinerary down to the last letter, you can also use it to search for other people’s holiday plans and borrow them for your own trip! Tripwiser is a completely free website. TripWiser simplifies going on holiday by making it very easy to plan everything about your holiday. It’s possible to look at other people’s trips and see what they think about certain destinations, restaurants and hotels. You can look at other people’s ideas and see if they are worth doing or not, photos make it an interesting site as you can spend time looking at the sights before you get there. Travel should be fun, and that’s exactly what TripWiser does, make travelling as much fun as it can possibly be. It’s also a social networking site where you can meet people with shared interests, share information, and of course display your holiday photos for all to see.
What is the history and popularity of the application?
The website was officially launched on the 1st December 2007; it was created to simplify the planning process for your holidays. It creates a completely unique way to plan your trips as you can also look at what other people have done and copy them if you think it’s any good. The company is located in California. At its launch it only supported travel within America and Canada; however since then its popularity has expanded it to make it a worldwide site.
What are the differences to other applications?
There are plenty of other trip planning websites out there however this one does have some unique features. It’s possible to add lots of information to your trip, including things that you should do, hotels, and also talk about restaurants. This can be compared to a travel blog; however all of the information is displayed in a way to make it easy to find what you need to know. It’s also possible to break up the plans into a schedule so that you know where you should go on what day. It’s possible to clone another user’s trip, or edit it slightly. Tripwiser also features some great photo sharing features which makes it the ideal way to keep your family updated.
How does the application look and feel to use?
Using TripWiser is very easy, the interface is intuitive and it doesn’t take long to get used to. Creating your own trip is simply a matter of filling out a simple form, you are guided through the whole process and it really doesn’t get much easier than that! Searching for trips that you might like to take inspiration from is also very easy, and it’s possible to search for certain countries, or just browse through everything on offer.
How does the registration process work?
Registering for an account is easy, start by clicking the “Register” link at the top of the page. Then complete the short form by completing all the details. You will need to enter your email address, also make sure that you tick the box at the bottom that you accept the terms and conditions. As soon as you sign up you are free to start creating your first trip.
What does it cost to use the application?
Tripwiser is a completely free service that’s supported by adverts. Although the adverts are quite big, they don’t really get in the way.
Who would you recommend the application to?
TripWiser is ideal for anyone that wants to make the most out of their holiday and is sick of planning the old fashioned way. TripWiser makes it really easy to plan your trip for all eventualities. TripWiser is one of the best was to find out what you need to know before you leave, it also makes it possible to plan for every eventuality, which can be difficult normally. Although TripWiser is still officially a beta site, it’s very useful and popular amongst users.
