SushiWorks is a content management system built specifically for website designers. The application provides users with a number of ways to effectively manage content. Users can edit and create unlimited pages using basic HTML and styles defined by the user. Navigation menus and links can be managed for internal and external web pages. Users can add, re-order, delete or edit links as much as they like. To save time, users can upload multiple templates that can be used on different areas of the site. A custom form builder is included so users can give their clients the tools needed to create contact forms and other requests. Photo galleries include a lightbox option to display enlarged images. Additional features include SEO tools, visitor tracking and training and support.
SushiWorks was founded in October of 2010 by the team at WebSushi. WebSushi claims to offer “fresh and tasty websites” to clients. SushiWorks throws a sprinkling of convenience into the mix. The application was created around years of website design experience. The site is still growing its user base and does not appear to have developed widespread popularity – yet. The application offers a number of helpful tools that can make the lives of website designers much easier.
SushiWorks offers many tools that are very similar to those supplied by other web designer focused CMS applications. Some may prefer SushiWorks because of its simplicity and user friendly nature. The application focuses on offering the functionality users want and need with an easy to navigate interface and features the user will actually utilize with no unnecessary fluff. SushiWorks strikes an appealing balance between functionality, features and pricing to help website designers expand their business.
SushiWorks presents users with a clean, hassle-free interface that allows the user to navigate quickly to each tool offered. Simple tabs separate specific areas while the dark grey color scheme is offset by hints of deep, bright red. SushiWorks keeps the user’s experience positive by ensuring that every visit is streamlined thanks to its basic interface. While remaining simple, the application still retains a hint of personality to attract the eye without becoming a burden.
A new user can try SushiWorks by clicking the dark green “Create an Account” button along the upper, left hand side of the homepage. Doing so takes the user to the registration form, which requires a name, agency name, email address, password and optional discount code (if the user has one). The user must also check the small white box at the bottom of the form to confirm their agreement with the SushiWorks terms and conditions. After submitting the form, the user is automatically logged in to their new account.
SushiWorks provides users with three account options to work with. The first is a Personal account that includes unlimited pages and links, unlimited admin users and 1,000 maximum monthly page views for $11.01 per month. The mid-range Business plan includes up to 10,000 monthly page views, visitor tracking tools, reports, SEO tools and news and blog features for $20.64 per month. The Business Pro plan upgrades to include 100,000 monthly page views, access to the forms manager and photo galleries for $26.15 per month. Both the Business and Business Pro accounts include a $50 Google AdWords voucher.
SushiWorks.com is designed specifically for website designers. The application can make managing clients significantly easier. Users can supply their clients with professional, convenient service and reduce the challenges of organizing their client and site information. Users can choose from three economical subscriptions that include a number of simple tools that include just what the user needs and no unnecessary extras to increase the cost.
