The site works with all manner of professionals in the health and beauty industry, from hair stylists to personal trainers and massage therapists. The user can browse for professionals by type, location and/or recommendations. StyleSeat also provides online appointment booking tools so the user can easily schedule or reschedule their appointments. The site also posts images so the user can find inspiration for their own beauty options. StyleSeat also lists current promotions and deals in the user’s local area. Professionals who own a healthy and beauty business can contact StyleSeat to have their company added to the list. Business features include client information tracking, marking email campaigns and promotions, schedule management tools and revenue goal setting features.

The homepage also includes featured professionals with an image and a photo of the day highlighted in light blue.
Visitors are not required to sign up for a StyleSeat account to browse the site’s listings or photos. However to get the most benefit, users can create an account. Doing so gives the user a $25 credit towards their next service purchase. To sign up, the user only has to provide their email address and zip code in the fields provided at the top of the homepage (inside the dark colored header). After doing so, the use can click the blue “Sign Up” button to the right of the fields to submit their information. Once the information has been submitted, the user is asked for a first and last name and a password to complete registration.
