SpeedDate was founded by Stanford graduates Dan Abelon and Simon Tisminezky. The pair created the site after completing an entrepreneurship class that was taught by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt. The application received $6 million in Series B financing and has received positive attention from popular media outlets, including TechCrunch. Users who upgrade can access full email features, unlimited chats, higher ranks and additional control over chats. Subscriptions cost $39.95 per month. Users can subscribe for three months at $29.95 per month, six months for $26.95 per month or one year for $15.95 per month.

I like this site against all the other services I've tried. yes, there are free sites, but they don't introduce you to people that you can chat with right away. With this site, I like that they set you up with people to chat with for free. what other sites do that? then you can upgrade if you want to communicate more. but even the upgrade is way less expensive than going out on a crappy date. i've called customer service for advice on filling out my profile and they were very helpful. i'd recommend this service for sure.
