Smart Gardener was created after the company’s CEO and product designer Kristee Rosendahl moved to a 300 acre Sonoma County property in 2006. She wanted to begin a more natural lifestyle by producing her own home grown foods. The property also included an old orchard. Rosendahl hoped to revive the property’s plant life, organized gardens and keep bees. Her efforts produced Big Dream Ranch LLC, which supplies local restaurants and stores with produce and honey as well as the many valuable features included in Smart Gardener.
