Slimpic is an application for entertainment purposes. With it, users can alter photographs to make the subject appear to gain or lose weight through photo manipulation.
There is no historical or statistical information available about the application.
Slimpic is a very simple tool that requires little skill. PhotoShop, in comparison, requires users to understand software and utilize various tools to edit photos.
Photos may be uploaded from an individual’s computer or from a Facebook page. Once uploaded, a selector tool is used to identify the individual face or body that is being altered. Then, using a slider, the user chooses how many pounds or kilograms to add to or subtract from the photo. A before/after comparison button toggles between the new image and the original. When finished, users may name the pic, save it in a Facebook album or post on a Facebook wall.
The results of the process are largely a function of stretching the picture and altering the proportions. The altered photo may not seem very realistic and may appear distorted.
Users have the choice of linking their Facebook accounts to slimpic or simply creating an individual slimpic account. To create the slimpic account, a name, email, and password are necessary.
Slimpic is free to use.
For purely entertainment purposes, anyone can use this application. Just don’t expect great results without feature distortion.
