SimplyHired is a job search engine that is based in America. They are working hard to create a large database that is crammed full of various jobs. The idea of the site is that while it doesn’t do anything new, it does simplify the process of finding a job. Instead of having to visit lots of separate sites you can quite easily search from just one site which will turn up results from all over the internet. This should make it much easier to land your dream job. The best thing about this application is that it’s designed in a simple way; anyone who has a basic understanding of the internet can use it without any problems. It’s all too easy to miss important opportunities because there are so many things to look out for. There are so many jobs on the internet and so many different job sites that this one site makes your life a whole lot less confusing. Simply hired was founded in 2004 by Peter Weck and Gautam Godhwani, the company is based in Silicon Valley. Initially the site was in beta testing, the first site was launched in March 2005. The founders of the company invested $1.2 million, and they received investments from angel investors. SimplyHired doesn’t really do anything new, in fact there don’t seem to be any jobs listed and it’s not a job directory. The only thing that the site does is search other job directories and list the results for you. This is quite helpful as you only have to use one search engine to find results from a number of different sources. SimplyHired now operates in a number of countries throughout the world, including India, America and the UK. If you can use a search engine then you won’t have any problem with simply hired, it is basically a search engine and so is extremely easy for anyone to use. One annoying problem with the site is that some of the links become outdated. This means that if you click on them you will get to the job agency website where you are told that the job no longer exists. This is frustrating if it happens a lot, and just encourages you to search directly on the job site. You can use simplyhired without an account, although if you sign up for an account you will also have the option to save jobs of interest to a list. This can make it easier to keep track of the jobs that you might like to apply to. Creating an account is particularly easy; you just need to click on the “Create account” link at the top of the home page. You then need to complete the form and fill in the verification check. Having to enter your email address twice is an outdated and very annoying practice, but other than that the registration process is fairly painless. One other annoyance is that passwords have to contain at least one letter and number. They send an email to your inbox, although you do not have to confirm your address. It is completely free for everyone to use Simply Hired and the site seems to be supported by Google adverts. SimplyHired is a useful site if you’re looking for a job, although the broken links were very annoying if you don’t experience them then it could be a very useful site. By keeping all the jobs in one place you will find it much easier to search for and find an ideal job.
