Roxer is a free website builder application. It is very easy to use and page layout elements are extremely flexible. No knowledge of computer coding is necessary to create an appealing, one-of-a-kind website.
Roxer was founded by Lex Arquette and Jeremiah Grossman in 2008.
The completely customizable, drag-n-drop elements make this one of the most appealing website builders – especially for novices. Because elements are easy to resize and move, each site built with Roxer looks completely unique. This is a definite advantage over those applications with limited themes.
The appeal of Roxer is the ability to create a completely customized site with an intuitive utility. On the whole, it is easy to use, but during testing, it proved difficult to move some elements once they were placed.
Users may create panels with varied colors and textures with a drag and drop interface for page placement. The text utility has only a few fonts and was buggy when attempting to maneuver the text boxes. There are only a few widgets available for use on the pages, including a sticky note graphic, glittery words, and Google Calendar; however users can upload images to use as background panels for variety.
Other than the limited options for widgets and the occasional bug with moving elements, the site is very appealing.
To register, users provide a name for the homepage, password, and email address. Immediately, users are taken to a page that confirms account creation and leads to a tour.
Roxer is free for 50 total boxes (page elements) on a site, domain name support, ten pages, and 100K upload size. Power User accounts are available for $7/month and include 2,000 boxes, support, advertising removal, 100 pages, 1MB upload size, the ability to remove Roxer branding, custom HTML, and a free domain name.
This is a very easy website builder that anyone can use. People with any level of web experience can create websites with Roxer.
