Postera is an application for creative professionals to create websites to display their portfolio content.
Postera was founded in 2010 by David Karam and Topher LaFata.
Postera provides unlimited portfolio uploads for creative professionals such as artists, photographers, graphic designers, and models. Each portfolio may be customized with several options.
There are currently 4 site design templates available with plans to add new ones each season. Users may choose one style that they feel will best display their work. Once selected, this can be changed at any time. Users can manage fonts and other page properties as well. These are more easily manipulated after content is added so that users may visualize changes.
Some styles come with preset configurations. Users may customize settings, including colors, backgrounds, and more to personalize the pages. The application is very easy to use and upload speeds were quite fast.
Users can view others’ portfolios as well, which highlights how customizable each template really is. The interface is relatively easy to use, but may take users some time to truly achieve the look they want for their body of work.
An email address, username, and password are necessary to sign up for the free trial account. A confirmation email completes the process. After the free trial, users must provide credit card information to continue to use the application.
A fee of $24/month is associated with using Postera. This offers unlimited image uploads of maximum 1500 x 1500 pixels. Video uploading is in the experimental stages for FLV or F4V formats. A 14 day free trial is available for all users.
Postera is useful tool for creative professionals to house digital portfolios of their work. Each site appears to be unique and very professional.
