Ooh.com is a free global notice board. Users can buy or sell trips, events, accommodations, and other” things to do” around the world.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Ooh.com is a creation of UK entrepreneurs Pat Reeves and Rohan Blacker, creators of Sofa.com.

What are the differences to other apps?

Craigslist and eBay allow users to sell items, but Ooh.com provides a marketplace for events. Bookings and payments may be made through the site.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The interface is cluttered and difficult to navigate. The search function is awkward. General browsing is either accomplished through choosing a location on the provided Google map or looking through listings by country. The search function allows the user to narrow the search by category, subcategory, and country. Some events may be booked and paid for through Ooh.com and some simply state the accepted forms of payment and location of the business with links provided to contact the seller. This is not very user-friendly as there is no notation of how to make reservations or bookings for those events without specific links to book through Ooh.com. The main criteria for listing something on Ooh.com are that the event or activity must take place at a fixed time for a fixed price. This is not an auction site. Hall of Fame listings are praised by the Ooh.com creators with special listings and comments.

How does the registration process work?

Registration requires full name, email, username, and password. An email with activation link allows users to buy or sell on the site.

What does it cost to use the application?

There are no listing fees or commissions for the site. If an arrangement is made to purchase from another user, then the purchaser is responsible for the purchase amount. There will eventually be a commission payable to the site for all sales.

Anyone looking for a free advertising outlet for their event may benefit from using Ooh.com to list their services. Those looking for activities may find it difficult to locate something in their designated area until the site has more listings.
