What are the differences to other apps?

There are quite a few online language learning platforms. Some others use text book style material, however Myngle uses live education to teach languages. It features all of the tools that could possibly be needed including advanced feedback systems and a friendly community. Myngle aims to make learning a language a fun and interactive experience, learning on the internet no longer has to be a disadvantage, you can learn on the internet and still be part of the class.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

Myngle is quite a nice application to use, the site is very clean and easy to navigate. It’s spit up into a number of sections with a strong emphasis on social networking. There is a section for students where you can search and meet people that you might like to talk to in order to practice your language. It’s very easy to navigate and use the application to learn something really useful. Learning with Myngle seems like fun which will help when it comes to remembering it.

How does the registration process work?

Registering for an account with Myngle is no different to any other site on the internet and you don’t even need to click anywhere. The form is available on the main page of the site, just fill it out and click the button. Make sure you check the box showing that you accept the terms and conditions of the site. If you’re registering for a teachers account then you need to click on the link at the bottom as it’s a different signup process. Once you have signed up you will then be redirected and logged into your account. You will then need to change your profile to show which language you want to learn. You will need a skype ID for the lessons with a teacher so if you don’t have one you might want to register now. You can then start searching for teachers that you might like to learn from.

What does it cost to use the application?

It’s free to sign up for a Myngle account however you will have to pay for lessons if you have them with a teacher. The teacher is free to charge whatever they like for the lesson and Myngle will take a cut of the money. This means that you have no risk to sign up and have a look; however whether or not you use it will probably depend on the costs of the teachers. It’s possible to pay using paypal, bank transfer or with a major credit or debit card. Bear in mind however that all methods except paypal will be charged a 3% processing fee.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Myngle is a nice application for learning languages because you get to speak to a real person. This means that you can use almost any material and discuss it with your personal tutor. As you are the only person in the lesson it will also mean that the teacher can move at a pace to suit you and that you will remember as much of the language as possible.

  • Find a personal tutor
  • Talk to fellow students
  • Learn foreign languages
  • Free signup, only pay for the lessons you need

The amount of spam that is generated by Myngle is outlandish – it is an absurd service. Beware. Do not sign up for this unless you are prepared to receive hundreds of irrelevant emails.
