What can you use the app for?
MyEbook is designed to completely change the way that new books are published on the internet. It’s an all in one solution for the publishing, creation and sharing of online books. It’s built on top of a social networking application which has some really nice features. This means that it’s one of the easiest ways to get your book out there and start spreading the word about it. Ebooks are much easier to publish than print books; however they are still fairly difficult for some people. MyEbook has been designed to make it really easy for anyone to publish ebooks on the internet. You can also publish the book by just clicking one button; it is then immediately released to the world. It’s possible to use the application to create as many books as you want for free. MyEbook has a very nice and simple user interface which makes it really simple to publish ebooks on the internet. It’s suitable for virtually any type of book, whether it’s magazines, photo albums, brochures, comics, leaflets, manuals or children’s books. It’s possible to use the tools to embed multimedia content including audio and videos which will make your book that little bit more special.
What is the history and popularity of the app?
MyEbook is currently available in public beta release; this means that not all of the features may work properly however it is very stable. It has taken over 2 years of research and design to build the site, and improvements are continuing on a regular basis. It brings many new and exciting web based technologies to the table.
What are the differences to other apps?
This is a unique application which is designed to make publishing ebooks easy and free. It’s great to come across an application which is both functional and free, there is a real market for this type of application. Whether they will start charging in the future when the product is released publicly is unknown.
How does the web app look and feel to use?
The application is designed to be as simple as possible and has some very nice features. They have made everything as easy as possible, one you have completed your book it’s just a matter of clicking a single button to publish it to the whole world. This simplifies the whole process and makes sure that anyone, regardless of their technical ability will be able to write stunning ebooks and get them out there as possible. The fact that the application is suitable for virtually any type of book is very interesting as it can be used by almost anyone.
How does the registration process work?
Registering for an account on myebook is very easy and completely free, you just need to fill out a fairly standard looking registration form. You need to enter your name, email address, date of birth, address, and gender. You will also need to choose a password and complete a captcha test. It’s also important that you check the box at the bottom. You will be sent an email but you don’t need to activate the account in any way.
What does it cost to use the application?
MyEbook is currently completely free; it’s not known whether they will introduce paid plans in the future when the site is released publicly. They don’t have any noticeable adverts on the site and it’s not clear how this site is making money. Even the partner plan is free; this will almost certainly change in the near future.
Who would you recommend the application to?
MyEbook is ideal for any budding author trying to find a way to get their content released. Although it’s not quite the same as a regular book it is almost as good. The tools to create and publish ebooks are second to none and are very useful.
  • Create ebooks easily
  • Publish ebooks with a single click
  • Share your ebooks with an audience of millions
  • Create any type of e-book including manuals, leaflets, e-books and children’s books.

Im amazed that it is free. There competitors like Issuu and Scribd are probably taking all of the market share. It is good to see something stand out for a change! x

I have not F***** idea why so many people hate this site I use it, and I LOVE MyEbook. It's pretty great and easy to use if you ask me. I think that most users on these review sites just consider them selves over-the-top. Ugh, arogance with get us killed one day. Any how. I guess, it's just up to the user. I love it though.

Sorry to say this, but in my opinion myebook.com is retrograde, redundant and pointless. The developers should go back to the drawing board with this and revise the core ideas of the system. It's like they've taken the limitless possibilities of the internet, and shackled them down to a limited format. They'd also do well to drop the cheesy sales pitch and grandiose claims that I've seen associated with the myebook name.
