The application was developed by Neil Bryant, founder of Badoo.com it went live in 2010. No other information is available regarding history or traffic stats.

The site has a very simple and fast registration process. It has both messaging and live chat options for members.

After registration, users can complete a more in-depth profile with occupation, marital status, children, education, height, weight, language spoken, eye and hair color, religion, drinking and smoking habits, and interests.

Once the profile is completed, users can click on the “Find Friends” button. This takes users to lists of members looking for friendship. At this time, there are many sparse profiles with no pictures and obviously fake names. Several have photos that appear to be from professional sites and are likely fake.

In the Help section, non-US users are able to purchase a Premium membership which claims to provide extra resources for those who are “keener than average” to make a long term relationship. US members cannot participate due to the US law of the International Marriage Brokers Act.

Users provide a first and last name, email address, password, birth date, country, and gender to register. Once, entered, users are asked to upload a photo and provide a brief bio.

The site is free, but Premium members outside of the US may purchase credits for special services.

Based on this review of Meet Your Friends, the site is not recommended. There are allusions to arranged marriage services for out of US members on a fee system. The site is not well regulated, as there are many accounts that appear to be fake.
