MEETorDIE launched in February 2010 and is a creation of Vaporware Labs, a group of ex-Apple and ex-EA employees.

MEETorDIE, while funny, does highlight the fact that many companies hold meetings that many might find to be worthless and that this time translates into real money.

The application is simple. There is no sign in process. You may enter your company name, or make one up. The site is anonymous, but employees of small companies may be hesitant to share identification details. The next step is to choose the industry from a drop-down menu. Choices range from Education to Biotechnology. The next drop-down menus indicate the size of the company and the length of the meeting.

The final element asks who is attending the meeting. The menu choices vary depending on the industry chosen. Some are serious and some are humorous. For example, in the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry, choices include scientist, director, and administrative assistant alongside marketing jerk and sleazy sales rep.

With each entry, the animated mascot, Goolah, gets angrier. With the results of how much money the meeting has wasted, Goolah is pictured taking out his frustrations at the amount of money wasted.

There is no registration and no information is retained by site. This makes all entries anonymous.

There is no cost to use the application. It does, however point out that the money wasted on meetings could be put to good use by donating to worthy charities and provides links to Charity Water and the Red Cross.
