What are the differences to other apps?

LiquidPlanner is a fairly standard project management utility with a few differences. It can be used to effectively manage any type of project no matter the size of the team. LiquidPlanner uses scheduling software which makes it possible to schedule projects even if you have no idea how long they will take to complete. Analysis features are also provided to keep an eye on deadlines and to make sure that certain projects are on time. All of these features are offered in an easy to manage package which makes project management much easier.

Resource management software is included, and it’s also set up to manage remote workers. Adjusting schedules is very easy and this can be done if anything changes. Users can set goals for the whole team or organization which is a nice touch. There are also some nice collaboration features including a commenting and document sharing utility. This ensures that any important information is stored in the same place which will make it easy to find this information in the future. It’s a flexible application which is suitable for any type of project management.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The website has a nice modern feel. The application itself is surprisingly complex and capable of quite complicated project management tasks. LiquidPlanner has a fresh and attractive look and it’s easy to understand how to use the application. There is also a nice easy to use tutorial video which shows you how to use the application and get the most out of it.

How does the registration process work?

If you want to use LiquidPlanner then it’s mandatory for you to sign up for an account. The signup process doesn’t take that long and the information requested isn’t too bad. Although they offer only paid subscriptions there is an option for a free 30 day trial where you don’t have to include any payment details. You need to have an email address when registering and they will check the email by sending you an activation email. You must read this email and click the link in order to unlock your account.

What does it cost to use the application?

LiquidPlanner is only available as part of a paid subscription plan, and there are two different options. You can either pay up front for a single month or for a whole year. When paying for a whole year the costs are reduced to $25 per month per user and it also includes free customized training. The option that you choose is up to you depending on how much you want to pay up front. There is a free 30 day unlimited trial available to try out the software and see how well it works for you.

Who would you recommend the application to?

LiquidPlanner is a complete piece of software which is perfect for anyone that needs to manage a project. It uses sophisticated software which is suitable for people in charge of large projects, and smaller less complicated projects. The resource management features also make this a really useful piece of software.

  • One of the most useful features of LiquidPlanner is the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and switch between them easily. This is a project manager’s dream and everything is kept in one place.
  • LiquidPlanner can also produce high quality time sheets and analyze all of the information. This will make it much easier to stay on track and on time for time sensitive projects.
  • Tasks can be assigned to specific team members and resources can be allocated to them. This means that the chances of the project being held up can be limited because you can stagger the use of certain resources.
  • It’s possible for anyone who has an account with LiquidPlanner to create an unlimited number of projects securely.
  • The software is very easy to use, however if you do find yourself getting into any difficulty then you can phone or email a dedicated technical support team.

The app does not support drag and drop on the gantt chart, which sucks. Then, you have to refresh your workspace every time you make a change in the schedule. That's why I like Wrike better. BTW, Wrike is less pricy.
