Lazy Meter is a very handy web application that can be used for keeping track of tasks that have to be completed within a stipulated time period. It is an extended version of a regular organizer. It cannot be used to replace a calendar as it is not designed as a event planner. Psychology student, Aaron believes that the tool is capable of tackling procrastination issues.
LazyMeter was started at the Startup weekend in Seattle, WA by Aaron Franklin (formerly with Microsoft), Josh Runge (Ex-MIT and former Microsoft employee) and Zachary Clifford (an Ex-MIT student again). It is based and dominant in San Francisco and Boston and is completely self funded.
LazyMeter is not just a simple calendar application that is combined with reminders. In comparison to the other applications, LazyMeter has the edge of the extent of progress made. This is a feature that allows users to keep track of the extent of the task completed in case of tasks that are large and are likely to take more time to complete. It also offers insights to keep a track of your completed tasks and monitor your productivity.
The LazyMeter web application is easy to use and is in fact very user friendly. The site has an easy learning graph and the webpages are joyfully light and load really quick. The website also comes in a special mobile version that is designed to fit into phone screens easily and optimally. On the downside, it is too simplistic making it feel lacking.
The registration process is simple and straightforward. Users have to submit their names, email addresses and even a time zone in order to be able to co. Users may also sign up by connecting with their Facebook account.
The good news is that Lazy Meter is currently free. There are no premium versions of the application that require a paid membership. The owners however, say that they may introduce a paid version that offers premium features. However, they promise to provide a notice to their users well in prior to any drastic changes, whatsoever.
The tool is ideal for procrastinators who put things off for too long and end up making no progress. With different algorithms running in it, LazyMeter is not just a mere to do list. Therefore it will also be suitable for people with hectic schedules who need to constantly be aware of what task they have to complete.
