What can you use the app for?

Jump On It is another version of the group coupon website. Users can take advantage of special deals offered daily through Jump On It. The user must actually purchase the deal, which involves entering credit card information. If enough users decide to participate in the deal, then everyone is charged and gets the discount. Jump On It provides users in Australia with discounts ranging between 50% and 90% off. The service is a great way for users to get out and see their community while paying far less for doing so.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Jump On It is headquartered in the lower North Shore of Sydney, Australia. Founders Colin Fabig, Adam Rigby and James Gilbert created the site in 2009. Funding was received from Nextec Capital shortly after. The founders are still a part of Jump On It, with Fabig holding the position of CEO, Gilbert is the Commercial Director and Rigby is the COO. The site is constantly growing and has already collected a following through deeply discounted special promotions available to Australian users.

What are the differences to other apps?

Jump On It is really not a unique website. There are many “group discount” themed websites available today. That doesn’t mean the site offers no value to the user. The discounts available are what really make Jump On It a little different. The site caters to users in Australia. Many similar sites stay focused in other places, which could give Jump On It an edge with its user base.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The Jump On It website features a very attractive green color scheme that creates a fun backdrop to the featured deals posted on the site. Each deal is organized so the user can easily see the price, savings and glimpse the service or product available. Users can also choose to share the daily deal through Facebook, Twitter or email using conveniently placed icons right on the homepage. Overall, Jump On It is easy to navigate and gives the user all the information they need at a glance.

How does the registration process work?

Visitors can become Jump On It members by clicking on the white “Join” link at the top right hand corner of the page. Users are also able to register through an existing Facebook profile by using the button found near the “Join” link. A green pop up box presents the user with the registration form, which requires a home city, post code, first and last name, gender, mobile number, email address and password. The terms and privacy policy check box is automatically checked along with a daily offer email opt in check box. The user can uncheck the second one before clicking the green “Join” button if they prefer. Visitors can also sign up for Jump On It daily deals by entering their email address in the field provided on the homepage.

What does it cost to use the application?

Sites like Jump On It want to encourage users to spend their money on the businesses offering deals through the site. There are no registration or subscription fees so that users can focus on buying rather than paying for membership. This works well and is generally the expected approach for most sites similar to Jump On It.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Jump On It is a great way for users in Australia to save money while trying out local businesses. Users on a tight budget or thrifty adventurers can take advantage of deeply discounted services and products by purchasing them with other users ahead of time.

  • Check out daily deals
  • Receive email alerts when new deals are posted to the site

Stay away from Jump on it. They sold me a deal for a company that has gone out of business and refuse to refund me. As well as that they are incredibly rude and unhelpful and refused to let me speak to a manager.

Had a very bad experience with Sweet Infinity through a Jump On It voucher. Bought a voucher to a cooking class at Sweet Infinity Bakery through Jump On It. Absolute rubbish. We were supposed to be doing a cooking class for flourless chocolate cakes, it was just a demonstration by a chef there. The food was dry and uninspiring. Most of the recipe was pre-prepared so even the demo was brief. Our interaction consisted of pouring the mixture into cupcake moulds. Then using a piping bag to put on the pre-made icing. The demonstration was for cupcakes, we didn't make cakes. The class duration was 1.5 hours as opposed to the advertised 3 hours. We were supposed to receive 'take home menu cards, goodies and more'. What we got was 2 A4 pieces of paper with the cake and icing recipe with little detail and poorly written. We took home some of the cupcakes (goodies?), and no more. It was for $79 with Jump On it and the bakery saying it was work $300. To pay $79 for this class was a gross overcharge, to say it is usually $300 is outrageous. They refused to acknowledge the full complaint and in the end we got no refund, only got a credit with Jump On It (we don't want to use Jump On It again).

I bought two vouchers from Jump On It under my name. I wanted to change one voucher to my mom's name, so I contacted them. They sent me the new voucher under my mom's name but also changed the expired date from six month valid to three months valid! I contacted them and they insisted they were right. They said that all vouchers in my account were three months valid. I logged into my account and found out that the expiry dated of my two vouchers had been changed. Luckily, I have copies of my previous vouchers with six months valid and sent to them via email. Eventually, they had to change the details back to six months. I think this incident was fraud because they logged in and changed the details of my already purchased vouchers, to be differ from the original agreement. I really feel upset and feel afraid to buy any deals from this site again.
