JobNob was created by Alan Shusterman and Julie Greenberg in 2008. The site was intended to provide a board for posting and searching for “alternative compensation” jobs. These are generally positions where full time work is not available or a feasible option. Greenberg has a decade of experience in finance, business development, and leadership careers. Shusterman has spent the last 15 years in the area of technology. They have combined their knowledge and experiences to create the tools and community of JobNob.

JobNob isn’t just another list of classified advertisements. The site provides real information to keep workers up to date on the job market. The postings are focused on less conventional positions, where standard full time work may not be an option. In these cases, the company is able to get the help they need and fill the position while the employee is able to earn a paycheck that otherwise might not have been available to them.

The JobNob website features a colorful design that doesn’t over do it. A white background helps tone down the blue, orange and yellow elements incorporated into the rest of the site. The menus are well organized and users can find all the main navigational tools they need right on the JobNob homepage. Once the information has been submitted, the user can begin building their JobNob profile and searching for work, employees or information.

A new user can create a JobNob account at no cost. The site does not list a premium paid account at this time. Although there are a few helpful features, no word is mentioned as far as whether future plans to include an upgraded account option are in the works. For now, anyone can stop by JobNob, create an account, browse information, or look for work.
