A group of friends and I used Jaycut for a school project (create an anti-substance abuse commercial) and we really liked it. We were able to upload the flip camera videos easily, then use the color features and slow motion to add dramatic effects. We added audio to polish the video, cut out the parts where we messed up, and in the end it was probably the best project in the group (no credit to our acting ability) because of the editing. I've since then used Jaycut for three other films I've created, and I think it's a great program for people who don't want to spend any more money.

My class and I used Jaycut for a school project and it, I say truthfully, was the worst software/app that I have used in my life! I would never would have been done in time so luckily I used my dad's professional software. I have read reviews praising it but it was extremely difficult for my class and I to learn exactly what to use for what and how to use it. Even with the videos help we struggled. I will never use it again because of the difficulties in almost everything about it.

Once you upload videos to Jaycut you can not delete them. So don't sign in, use the demo instead. When finished setting up your video do not click save or publish because you can not delete it and it will have a web address so do not click publish. Instead play it in the video window provided to review the video. Then go to tools-internet options-settings-view files on your internet page and copy the flv file from the temporary file folder to a folder of your choice. Also do not name the file as that will make it searchable. It is not clear if all the unpublished files are saved by Jaycut as well.

Sound files are uploaded, no error messages, but do not appear in "Music" tab. Also, there's no way during the upload to direct the file to this tab. Is JayCut supposed to do this automatically? The file I'm using has an mp3 extension.
