HowAboutWe is appealing because the site focuses on the things people like to do as a basis for making that important connection. Users can try new things or find others who like to do the things they have always loved. The HowAboutWe website uses a blue, grey and black color scheme that works very well. The site deviates away from the overused reds, pinks or heart shapes often found in other similar websites. That includes posting dates, browsing dates and profiles, receiving daily dates, filling out the user’s profile, browsing the trending date ideas list and saying that the user is intrigued by another user. The site explains that in “areas where we are new” it is free to do most things including send a message. However, in areas where HowAboutWe has a critical mass of users, the site does require a fee. The user can upgrade at a cost of around $95 for one year, around $75 for six months, approximately $55 for three months or just under $30 per month.
