CloudApp gives Mac users a convenient way to share images, music, links, files and videos online. The simple interface utilizes a drag and drop system. After the file has been uploaded, CloudApp provides the user with a short link that is copied to their clip board automatically. New users can create a CloudApp account by clicking the small blue “Sign Up” button found along the lower, right hand corner of the purple and black header. This takes the user to the log in area, which automatically has the register form selected. The form is as short as possible, asking for an email address and password. A brief note at the bottom advises the user that by creating an account they are agreeing to the CloudApp terms of service. After submitting the information, a drop down bar advises the user to check their email for an activation message.
CloudApp provides users with two membership options. The first is a free account that gives the user up to 10 daily uploads and a maximum file size of 25 MBs. Users can also choose to upgrade their account to the CloudApp Pro membership. This plan includes unlimited daily uploads of files up to 250 MBs in size. Pro is offered with three payment plan options. Users can purchase three months for around $15, six months for around $25 or one full year for around $45. New users are automatically provided a free membership after creating an account and must log in and visit their account page to upgrade.
