Gather is a social networking site that’s designed for adults. It’s designed to suit people who are between the ages of 30 and 55. Gather has a nice platform that’s been designed to encourage participation and to get people talking. It’s an ideal platform to allow people to talk about photos, their family, books, or politics. At its heart gather is a social networking application however the main difference is that it’s aimed specifically at adults. Most other social networks are overrun with teenagers and children. This one is aimed just at adults over 30 years old which makes it a great place to meet likeminded people who are a similar age to yourself. Gather has quite an attractive site design and everything is kept nice and clean. This makes it easy to do whatever you want without having to think about how to do it. It bears a lot of similarities with other social networking sites. When you first sign in you will have the option of completing your profile in slightly more detail. You can then use the platform to meet likeminded people and build new friendships, who knows you might even meet the love of your life on the site. What’s more because this site is aimed at adults you don’t have to put up with excessive swearing or other immature behavior! Registering for an account is even easier than most other sites, simply click the large “get started” button on the main page and you are taken to the signup page. Here you can enter your personal details. You will have to choose a username, this will become the address that you access your account with so choose carefully. You will be sent an email and you have to confirm your account by clicking on the link within 7 days. When you confirm your account you will then need to sign in again and you can then use the account. Gather is free to use and it’s supported by adverts but these aren’t really anything to worry about. Gather is a social networking site for any adult that wants to network with likeminded people without having to put up with the young whippersnappers! Adults still have a place on the internet and it’s about time that they reclaimed it.
