Ganttic was created to provide users with a universal scheduling tool that would allow them to manage everything, including people, facilities, projects and equipment. The application sticks with its visual focus by allowing users to drag and drop items directly on to their schedules. The header scrolls so the user can learn more about the application. The actual Ganttic user interface is very clean and easy to understand. Similar rich colors (presented with more vibrancy) are seen throughout the user interface. Each item is presented in different colors so the user can quickly see where their people, resources, facilities and equipment have been allocated and locate discrepancies or available time slots quickly. Pop up menus are presented with a darker background to create an appealing contrast that gives the application a little more personality and individual style.

A new user can get started with Ganttic by clicking the green and white “Sign Up for a Free Account” button found just below the colorful field header. This takes the user to the registration form. There are actually two forms presented. One is the actual registration form and the other (on the right) is an inquiry form for users who would like to host Ganttic on their own servers. Users who are creating a Ganttic-hosted account can provide their desired account name, email address (which will be the user’s login name) and a password.

All users are given access to a 30 day free trial of a Ganttic Pro account when they first sign up. After that, the user must select one of two membership plans. The Free For Life plan includes up to 10 resources. The Pro plan costs under $2 per month for each resource used. Both plans come with no other limitations and no credit card information is needed when signing up for the free trial. A self-hosted plan is also available, but requires the user to contact Ganttic to receive a custom quote.
