FlyApp is a simple application used to create a unique page with links to web pages that a user accesses on a daily basis.
While it appears from their blog that FlyApp has been in existence since June 2008, there is very little information available about its creators. No traffic history is available.
This very basic app is only for creating a page of links for fast, easy access by a user.
Once the account is linked to a user’s Google account, a link to Google is placed on the FlyApp page. To add another link, users click the add button and complete the information requested in the popup window: URL, title, and summary of the page. After the page information is entered, the user clicks “ok” to add the link to the FlyApp page.
Once a user has entered a link, it appears as a small image of the web page. Users can add, edit, or delete links at any time.
Given that Google Chrome offers a similar start up page of the most frequently used web pages and many browsers have easy to access bookmarking tools, this app may not be valuable to very many people.
Users sign in with their Google accounts. There is no other registration or sign in procedure.
FlyApp is completely free to use.
FlyApp would be useful for anyone who does not have easy access to their favorite web pages on startup or who wants their favorites easily accessible in the cloud.
