What can you use the app for?

Fiverr is a website that asks the question, “What will you do for five dollars?” Although it is nearly impossible to make a living off of Fiverr, the site is intended to give users a place to make some money and have some fun doing it. Users can post a listing that states what they are willing to do for a mere five dollars. The task can be anything, from silly and strange to practical. Users can offer to prank call someone as Borat or provide a search engine optimization report for a website. The only limitations are what the Fiverr community determines to be its limits (within reason, of course). Users post a five dollar gig with a description of what they will do. The user is notified when someone has purchased their service so they can get to work on it. Users purchasing a service pay the fee through Paypal and track progress until the task is complete. The user is given 48 hours to ask for corrections if needed. Users can also leave feedback for the individual they purchased services from afterwards.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Fiverr was created by Fiverr International. The application was featured on Yahoo! Finance, NBC, CNN Money, the Wall Street Journal, LifeHacker, TechCrunch, G4, Fox News and SmartMoney. Today, many people visit the site to offer or purchase many different services for five dollars.

What are the differences to other apps?

The creators of Fiverr have built something that isn’t quite a freelancer website, but isn’t not either. Users can offer anything imaginable. They do it and receive five dollars. It’s a simple process and brings with it an element of fun and entertainment that the professional websites simply can’t offer.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The Fiverr homepage features an inviting blue and green header with a cow, rolling hills and fluffy clouds. This really seems to speak volumes for the nature of the site. Although there are professional services offered throughout, Fiverr is primarily a place for fun or humorous tasks. Each listing includes a title and description. Users can also upload videos to go with their service.

How does the registration process work?

New users can join Fiverr by clicking on the white “Join” link at the top, right hand corner of the homepage. A blue button is also present for users who prefer to sign up through their Facebook profiles. Those who choose to go the traditional route will be asked to enter an email address, username and password. Before submitting the information, the user must also check the terms of service agreement box at the bottom of the form.

What does it cost to use the application?

Creating a Fiverr account costs nothing. The user can build a profile and post a service for sale on the site. Users can also browse listings and pay nothing for doing so. The only cost comes when someone decides to make a purchase on Fiverr. Perhaps it goes without saying, but each purchase costs five dollars. The user performing the service is paid around four dollars, with one dollar going to the website.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Fiverr is a unique site that can appeal to almost anyone. Users can find someone to perform strange, silly or useful tasks for them at a very low price. Of course a user will be hard pressed to find someone to do anything that takes more than a few minutes, but it is still worth it for some users. Fiverr also gives users a place to sell a service that isn’t marketable anywhere else.

  • Post a service for sale for the Fiverr community
  • Browse postings made by other Fiverr users
  • Earn money for doing something strange, silly or unique
  • Include a description, photo and/or video with your listing
  • Earn feedback for performing a task

So what can you get for $10? A lot!! On the web are unique innovative websites performing as a new platform where services can be bought and sold for just $10. We all found ourselves in situations where we needed a job done, but couldn't find the right person or the right price for us. Some interesting websites provides a direct line for customers and suppliers to interact with one another and reaching mutual satisfaction. The set price and the wide range of suppliers offering their immediate services is a new market place concept like no other. On these marketplaces you'll find online services such as advertising services, people who will write articles for you and even services you never though existed such as personal assistance with marketing activities, video, social activities services, or anything that comes to mind. You need something any job done this is the place to find someone who will do the job for you. The unique nature of some website enables us to perform as a small trust fund. Meaning, that the $10 the customer transfers the money, but the service supplier will receive it only after the customer has confirmed his total satisfaction from the service provided. We cannot confirm nor have a background check on each service provider, but the way the platforms works assures that service providers who do not perform to the customers total satisfaction will eventually be removed from the site due to low evaluations the receive from you, the customer. This is a self supported system. As such a system we depend on our followers to promote us. They are actually our best public relations people. Those who experienced the website and had a good interaction there will recommend us to people close to them. Through them we can reach out to a larger audience and provide you a greater deal of options. But it's not all about us. Your personal interest is also at our heart, by using this platform you can expose yourself to a larger audience and increase your personal followers on the different web applications. We truly believe that for some things in life there is no need to pay a lot in order to receive a top quality service. So why pay more when what you need to be done can be done for just $10.
