Eventzilla is an application used for ticketing and registering guests for events, conferences, seminars, workshops, or fundraisers. The app allows users to easily set up a web page for an event, complete with ticket selling tools, registrations, and communications with attendees.
Eventzilla was founded in 2009. The vision was to offer an event planning application to small and medium businesses in a cost effective way.
The application is menu-based and extremely easy to use. It generates a website and sets up payment methods, registrations, and ticket sales. It streamlines the entire process.
To set up an event, the user has 4 theme options to choose from as well as the opportunity to upload a custom header design. The next step requires an Event Name, category, description, time zone, and event times (including recurring event setup).
The user must next enter venue details, whether the event is virtual or live. Eventzilla fee choices are entered at this time. Users can choose to have fees paid by attendees or by the user. Pricing details, including ticket type, sale dates, price, fee, and total quantity of tickets is entered now. If a minimum or maximum order is desired, it may be recorded here, as well as any instructions to be printed on the ticket. Users also choose payment options from the following: credit cards and electronic (PayPal) payments, checks, or cash for onsite registrations. The option to allow cancellation is chosen at this point.
After the information is entered, the user may decide whether to allow the event to be searchable and publicly available. Once published, a webpage is generated for the event. From the webpage, attendees can register and sell tickets. Event details can be shared via links to Twitter, digg, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Technorati. Organizers can generate email invitations from their dashboard for any event.
Upon ticket purchase, the attendee receives PDF tickets and confirmation with the uploaded logo instantly via email.
The application is very easy to use and convenient for those setting up events.
Users provide an email address, password, full name and Captcha phrase to sign up. Users are then asked to indicate country, time zone, currency, and security questions. Immediately upon entering information, the user is taken to the Dashboard.
Free events require no payment. Paid events incur a fee of $1 per attendee when a ticket sale is completed. Payments may be made from PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, or AmEx. Large events may receive special pricing by requesting custom proposals from Eventzilla.
Any small or medium business that is planning an event will benefit from using this service. The entire event package can be created in less than ten minutes with no struggling with payment options or web development.
