Emurse is an application for job seekers. It provides a resume creation tool with multiple customization options as well as badges that may be used for promotion as well as several submission utilities. Resources for learning more about searching for jobs and expected salaries are also offered. Founded by Gavin Hall, and Alexander Rudloff of postGorilla, Emurse is a part of AOL finance. It was designed to provide improved assistance for job searches and averages 115,000 unique visitors per month. Emurse has functionality beyond the basic resume tools and advice. The Professional Profile Section is comprised of a short biography, interview questions, web links, and more. Each section is easily accessed and utilized. A resource section with blog, questions, and salary calculator is available as well. The blog covers topics associated with job searches and resumes. The answer section is a forum-style area for users to enter questions and offer answers. Both of these sections are easy to use and informative. The salary calculator is unwieldy and takes users through an extended multi-step process laden with advertising to find out what the salary range is for a particular career. An email, full name, postal code, password and job category are requested during registration. Each user may create up to ten resumes using emurse. There are no fees associated with Emurse.
