Dropjack is an online news site that users can contribute to and comment on news stories. Users can read news stories, rank them and also comment on them. If you want to comment or rank news stories then you need to register for an account and sign into it.

Dropjack was launched in 2007 but is still not getting enough visitors to be useful. Articles already make it to the homepage with two votes. Most posted articles are spam.

There are no differences to other applications, this is just another bad Reddit/Digg clone.
How does the application look and feel to use?
DropJack looks just as unprofessional as it is. When you first visit the website you will see a list of the most recent popular spam articles. You can then read the stories that relate to certain subjects by clicking the categories along the top of the screen.
Submitting your own stories is easy once you are logged in.
How does the registration process work?
You don’t need to register to read news stories, read comments, look at profiles or subscribe to RSS feeds. If you want to submit your own content, rate content, or post your own comments then you will need to register. Fill out the registration form and click the verify buttons to check that your username is available and that you haven’t already registered. Make sure your email address is all in lowercase letters otherwise the site won’t accept it.
Your password needs to be at least 5 characters long and you must accept the terms and conditions and complete the capatcha test. You will then be logged in automatically and immediately.
What does it cost to use the application?
Using dropjack is free. There don’t seem to be any noticeable adverts anywhere on the site although there is a link for advertisers.
Who would you recommend the application to?
Dropjack is not recommended to anyone. The only people who are using this service are link spammers.
