DishTip puts an interesting spin on searching for a good meal. Finding restaurant locations and reviews online is definitely not a new thing. Many people have been doing this for years as a way to decide where to go eat next. DishTip helps refine the process by giving users a way to not only search for businesses but to actually search for dishes. The user can select a type of food, such as chocolate, steak, seafood, etc. They can also narrow down the search further by selecting a specific dish, such as red velvet cake or chicken noodle soup. DishTip returns results based on this criteria and ranks them based on a sophisticated algorithm which analyzes millions of internet reviews and photos of the food item. Users can search for the dish they are hungry for and discover the best ranked location to order it from.

DishTip was created in 2010 by Tip Sense, LLC. The site was intended to approach the hunt for good food in a new way. The site covers just about any type of cuisine the user could possibly want, form Japanese and Chinese to Italian, French, Thai, Mexican, and American. Today, the site offers users a unique way to find a good bite to eat.

DishTip welcomes users with a fun blue and red color scheme. The homepage is highlighted by the header, which features a primarily blue background with a faint glimpse of a map accented by tasty food items. The search boxes are very easy to use. The user only has to enter the food keyword and a location. Search results include a sizable color image and a few location details.

Anyone can plan their next dining experience using DishTip. There is no registration requirement and no official sign up form required to access the site. This makes it much easier for anyone to stop by and start hunting for their favorite dishes. While no sign in requirement is a plus, an account option would be a nice touch. Users could save searches and locations for reference later or share them with others. DishTip is relatively new so this could be in the works for a future update. For now, the site is very effective even without a user account option.

DishTip does not have any log in requirement. Anyone can access the site right away. That being said, there is also no payment needed to use DishTip. Users are not required to pay a subscription fee or any other cost for the service. The only price incurred from using the site is the amount paid for meals purchased after discovering them through DishTip.

Anyone who loves food or has a desire to discover a new favorite eatery can really get into DishTip. The site is great for serious “foodies” as well as casual diners. It is very easy to use, free, and a great tool for locating a delicious meal.
