What can you use the app for?
Devhub.com is a free web hosting and content management solution that allows users to publish multiple websites. Its main features include a WYSIWYG editing platform coupled with instant monetization. Devhub offers drag and drop APIs from over 35 different web affiliates, including Amazon, Superpages, Shopping.com, and Priceline. The site allows users to build a professional-looking site with revenue potential in a matter of minutes. The site also features extensive reporting capabilities presented in an easy to use form. Devhub is a complete CMS (Content Management Solution) with a very user-friendly interface. Site building features include the ability to drag and drop text, images, widgets, blogs, and affiliate codes, as well as the over 35 ready-made monetization APIs. The editor is very easy to use, and gives users the ability to choose from several different templates, change the number of columns using any template, and preview the results without leaving the editor. Users can publish up to 10 websites, at which time their existing sites must undergo a “quality test”. If their first 10 websites pass the “quality test”, users are granted the ability to add up to 10 more sites. The “quality test” is repeated after the second set of 10 sites is added, and so on.
What is the history and popularity of the app?
Devhub was launched in November 2008 by Seattle-based EVO Media Group. EVO Media Group was founded in 2007 by Geoffrey Allen Bautista Nuval, Daniel Lee Rust, and Mark A. Michael. Geoffrey Nuval is currently CEO, while Daniel Rust servers as CTO. Devhub has undergone rapid growth since launch, with tens of thousands of websites currently being hosted by the site.
What are the differences to other apps?
Devhub’s main competition comes from other web-hosting solutions such as GoDaddy, Bravenet, and Google Pages, as well as from blogging platforms such as Blogger and Wordpress. The main difference between Devhub and the other free or low-cost web hosting platforms is the instant monetization and extensive reporting capabilities offered by Devhub. Devhub also offers a more complete CMS solution than the other sites. Blogger and Wordpress have been used by many people to create monetized websites, but this often requires more knowledge of HTML and other web languages in order to produce a professional-looking site. Devhub’s site editing tools are easier to use than any of the above-mentioned sites.
How does the web app look and feel to use?
Devhub has a very clean overall look and feel. The site is uncluttered, and there is no advertising displayed on the site. The site is very responsive, with page loads happening quickly. The response of the site editor is also excellent, with most changes being reflected in a matter of seconds. Navigation is intuitive and obvious, and the interfaces for the site editor and reporting features are very user-friendly. No special knowledge is required to build a site using the Devhub site editor.
How does the registration process work?
The registration process asks for first and last name, password, and domain or sub-domain names for up to 10 sites. Devhub will either host the user’s sites as sub-domains of Devhub or will host the user’s own domains for free. Validation of the email address is required, and users wishing to monetize their sites must submit a W-9 or W-8 form in order to receive payment.
What does it cost to use the application?
Registration at Devhub is free and there is no premium membership offered.
Who would you recommend the application to?
Devhub is recommended to anyone wishing to build free websites, and particularly those who wish to easily monetize their web sites. Devhub represents possibly the simplest and quickest solution on the web to creating a monetized web site. The CMS system is very easy to use, as is the WYSIWYG editor and reporting features. A user can literally build a site in a matter of minutes, and with a little more time invested, can produce a professional-looking site that begins generating revenue as soon as traffic to the site starts arriving.
  • Users can create up to 10 websites at one time
  • CMS system features drag and drop interface and WYSIWYG editor
  • Over 35 drag and drop monetization APIs
  • Extensive site reporting features built-in
  • Large number of widgets available for adding to site pages
  • Service is completely free
  • Possibly the easiest and fastest solution on the web for creating a monetized website

Can you use in your Devhub site other affiliates than those that they offer you?

Sounds pretty cool. I am having problems with people I paid to build a website. Maybe this will get things moving for me.
