Clicking the green “Subscribe” button to the right will complete the process. Users that actually want to create an account have to dig a little to find the form. By clicking the small blue “Log in” link at the top of the homepage, a pop up box appears asking the user to login. A small blue link at the bottom of that box will take the user to the account creation form. This can be done quickly be using an existing Facebook profile, or by entering an email address and password.

Sites like DealPop benefit every time a user spends money on the deals they offer. This entices businesses to offer future deals and generates revenue for DealPop. Requiring a monthly subscription fee or any other kind of fee of its users would be counter productive. Just like other group buying sites, DealPop lets users create an account at no cost. The amount of money spent depends entirely on how many deals the user purchase through DealPop.

Thrifty people that are also frequent internet users can really appreciate DealPop. The site makes it easy to find discounts of over 50% off at local retailers. Of course, each deal must be purchased up front, but the amount paid equals significant savings when the discount is used.
