CoHuman helps users coordinate and plan their daily tasks to effectively complete projects on time. The application uses very simple concepts and combines them to create an intelligent approach to task prioritization. The application works with the understanding that many people work on multiple projects each day. The site views projects as a group of tasks. Each task is given a priority score which is automatically calculated by deadline, dependency and other factors. Using this information, CoHuman sorts all of the user’s task by the tasks score. The user is given a clear list of all the tasks they have to complete spanning all projects each day. Team member accountability is also encouraged because each task clearly defines who is responsible for completing it. CoHuman also incorporates any sudden changes in the schedule into its system. Should a team member be absent for any reason or a deadline change, CoHuman will reorder the user’s task list to ensure that everything gets done that needs to be done.

CoHuman was founded in April of 2009. It provided a social productivity tool that would help professionals and businesses complete tasks on time. The current CoHuman team consists of around 10 individuals, including CEO Matthew Work and CFO Leslie Brennan. CoHuman is based out of San Francisco, California.

The sophistication of the CoHuman system is what gives it a leg up on other project management solutions. The system uses its task score system to prioritize each user’s tasks from across all of their projects. The system will automatically update the order of tasks as changes are made to the task lists of others. Users do not have to waste time with a phone call or email to ask about a task or switching something in their schedule. CoHuman does it all for them.

The CoHuman website welcomes visitors with a clean, stylish appearance featuring the colorful CoHuman logo which has an appealingly scientific element to it. The user task lists are very easy to read, with check boxes to indicate when something is completed. Users can toggle between task history, calendars and other setting options while CoHuman automatically sorts their task list.

New users can sign up for a CoHuman account by clicking on the green “Signup” link in the upper, right hand corner of the homepage. The user must select one of two membership options before continuing. The registration form gives the user the option of signing up through a Google or Google Apps account or by filling out the form provided along the left hand side of the page. The form requires an email address and password. A field is available for the user’s full name, but is not required to create an account.

CoHuman gives users two membership options to choose from. The first is a free basic membership that includes access to all of the application’s current features. The basic membership gives the user the ability to manage unlimited projects and store up to 1 GB worth of files on CoHuman. The paid membership is called the Professional and costs around $20 per month. This option provides in depth control settings and up to 10 GBs of storage space. An Enterprise option is in the works but has not yet been released.

Professionals and businesses who need a better way to manage projects can really appreciate CoHuman. The application is very easy to learn and offers a highly intelligent approach to sorting and prioritizing daily tasks.
