ClosR is an online photo sharing application which also makes it possible to make your images zoomable. It’s been designed to be as simple as possible which is a nice change to many other photo editors. ClosR is an online application which makes it possible for you to upload pictures with high resolutions and then make it possible for visitors to zoom and view them in their browsers without requiring a lot of bandwidth. ClosR makes it possible for people to look at just one part of the image that they are interested in and look at it without losing any quality.
ClosR has been created by VISup and has been created to make sharing photos much easier online. ClosR’s biggest competitor is Zoomorama, both projects are currently still in Beta but the ClosR site is still the most basic and easiest to use.
There are a number of similar sites however this one is much more basic than most, of course this isn’t a bad thing. It does what it does very well. ClosR is very easy to use and works well with a number of popular social networking sites. It also features the option to crop your images online which means that other applications are not required. ClosR has been designed to load as quickly as possible.
ClosR is very easy to use and it’s also very basic. This site doesn’t have some of the more advanced features that other sites have, however what it does it does very well. It’s a very quick tool to use and features a number of advantages. ClosR is ideal if you have large images which you want to make available to as many people as possible. It doesn’t however feature a snazzy user interface like some of its competitors but whether you like this sort of thing is up to you.
Registering for an account is just like any other site you will need to make sure that you tick the box confirming that you have accepted the terms and conditions before you can register. You will then be sent a confirmation email which takes a few minutes to come through. Unless you click on the link in this email you will not be able to log into your account. It’s also annoying that you don’t get logged in automatically when you click on the link. It makes what should be a two step process three or more steps.
ClosR is free for non commercial use; there are also a number of paid accounts or commercial users which have a number of additional features. These also have no limitations or advertising. Pricing information is not available on request and you must contact them if you are interested.
ClosR is ideal for anyone that is looking for a great way to upload their large images and make them available to everyone without compromising on the quality. It makes it possible to make your images zoomable which mean that people can look at a certain part of the image without losing any quality or having problems with speed.

I like this App alot. This app totally wipes out all the difficulties in implementing a zoomable google-map-like photo. The purpose I used the app is for a map I have created for a game, and embed it to my website. I've gone through the process of many gmap custom making programs and codes, this app make it all so simple. All I have to do is upload my image (5000x1475, 2.2Mb), then TA-DA, the embedded code is there ready for use! A bonus from this app: you can zoom in and out directly from the embedded window, or you can click the icon on the top right corner to expand the image to full screen, yet still able to zoom in. Loading speed is superb. Highly recommend this app to people not as techie-geek like me who needs to share large images on the web.
