What can you use the app for?
Climber is designed to help businesses find qualified professionals to add to their team. The Climber application is intended to help increase the effectiveness of placing candidates in jobs that fit their expertise. The site also assists with search engine recognition to increase exposure and the pool of potential candidates. Those searching for an employment opportunity can register to be added to the pool of recruits, which allows companies to search by their desired criteria to find relevant matches.
What is the history and popularity of the app?
Climber was created as a way to streamline the search for qualified candidates by company recruiters. The Climber team includes many individuals with extensive business backgrounds. President Nicholas M. Jimenez earned BA in Philosophy at California State University as well as advanced certification from the Wharton School’s Essentials of Management Executive Education program. Chief Executive Officer, Michael C. O’Brien has been interviewed by a number of national television and print media, such as CNBC, Fox News Network, The Wall Street Journal, and NBC Nightly News. Together, along with Executive Vice President Casey R. Gustus, these three minds have come together to create a business-friendly tool that can help employers and professionals connect.
What are the differences to other apps?
Climber is not a typical job advertisement service. Although anyone can post a job on websites and wait for candidates to submit resumes, Climber helps narrow down the choices. Working with professionals in the $50,000 income bracket and up, Climber helps lower the number of unqualified applicants. Recruiters can search using their desired criteria so each attempt to find new candidates is tailored to their company’s needs. Climber isn’t just a basic ad search, it is an application designed to actively assist recruiters in finding quality candidates that they will actually hire while limiting the amount of time needed to seek out those candidates.
How does the web app look and feel to use?
Intended for use by professionals and businesses, Climber’s appearance matches its mission. The website is easy to read, with a light blue and white color scheme that is easy on the eyes. Colorful icons are worked in as well, with proper spacing that does not distract from the text.
How does the registration process work?
The Climber registration process is very straight forward. Simply visit the website and fill out the “Get Recruited” box, which requests a first and last name, phone number (formatted correctly), and email address. A drop down box is also included so the candidate can fill in their specific industry. Click the green “Get Started Now!” button to finish registration. The next page requests back ground information, including location, occupation, education level, current job details and years of experience. Below that, professional profile information is requested including a profile title and career objective. The last portion of the page asks for any keywords the candidate would like added to their profile to help employers find them in searches. Anyone signing up for Climber should note the fine print at the bottom, just below the fields requesting credit card information. A check box is automatically filled in stating that the candidate is actively marketing themselves and wishes to try a 30 day free trial. The print also states the user’s credit card will be charged $34.99 during the trial period.
What does it cost to use the application?
Although the cost of Climber is not readily apparent until the user begins registration or reads the FAQ page, users looking for employment will pay about $35 a month. The fee includes a monthly broadcast of the user’s resume, a featured listing, and access to premium account only features. The 30 day free trial is the only free account option, which still requires a payment applied to the second month. Climber offers users a money back guarantee when signing up for the 30 day free trial. If the paid account is canceled during the free trial period, a full refund of the initial $34.99 may be requested. The directions state that the cancellation must be submitted online and the user must contact the Client Services department to request a refund form. Approved refunds take 7 to 10 days receive.
Who would you recommend the application to?
Climber is geared toward higher income professionals and businesses looking for specialized candidates to fill job positions. Recruiters can use Climber to minimize the amount of work and time necessary to narrow down candidates. More time can be spent actually interviewing and connecting with qualified candidates. Businesses who are experiencing difficulty in their search for recruits as well as those who have a number of positions that need filled can find much utility in Climber.
