Buzzmart takes two common online activities and turns them into a social marketplace. For years, people have been buying and selling online. They have also been socializing and connecting online. Buzzmart lets users do both. Each user can post items for sale, complete with descriptions and images. Other users can browse items, which are sorted into many categories including antiques, car parts, photography, clothing, wholesale, health, art, baby, real estate, computing, books, business, crafts, DVD, colleges, toys, sporting goods, video games, jewelry, music and many others. Users can also search for items by keyword and price. Discussion areas are provided for each item along with a Buzzmart community forum. Users can participate in both for a fully interactive buying and selling experience.
Buzzmart is a part of Kwikebids Ltd. The site was created in 2010 to provide an easy to use, social marketplace for internet buyers and sellers. The site also wanted to make selling more affordable for the sellers. While other sites require fees that can nickel and dime down profits, Buzzmart takes a different approach that works well. Both the buyer and seller can benefit from completing a transaction on Buzzmart.
Buzzmart allows users to sell items online, which is definitely not a new concept. However the site also encourages discussions which can be participated in directly on item page or through the site’s forums. Buzzmart also does not push any fees on sellers or buyers, which is another plus for the site. Users can benefit by spending less on fees and more on their purchases which turns into more profit for sellers.
The Buzzmart website uses a white background and a stylish blue bubble logo to create a lighthearted shopping environment. Each product page includes images, a five star rating system, prices and other important information about the product being sold. User can also rate items through a Buzz system that allows them to give the item a green thumb up or a red thumb down.
New users can register for a Buzzmart account by clicking on the white “Sign Up” link found in the blue header along the upper, right hand corner of the homepage. Users are given two registration options. Users can click the blue “Connect with Facebook” button found at the top of the form. Those who do not wish to register using Facebook can fill out the brief form provided, which requires an email address, username and password. The second step asks for the user’s mailing address information.
Buzzmart prides itself in its cost free environment. Users can buy and sell without paying fees that often take away from the seller’s profit. Instead users can earn or make purchases on the site without paying for the opportunity. The amount a user spends on Buzzmart depends entirely on their buying habits. Users are not required to make a purchase and can buy or sell as much or as little as they like. Access to the Buzzmart forums is provided for free as well.
Buzzmart is a fun way to sell items for just about anyone. Sellers who are sick of fees and buyers who prefer a more social shopping atmosphere can really appreciate Buzzmart. The site is still new, so the available products may be lacking. As the community grows, this will most likely improve.
