Just like many other applications, the concept behind Bookeo was born out of the personal experience of one of its creators. One of the application’s founders had a negative scheduling experience with an optometrist. After arriving for an appointment, he was advised that the office had no recording of his appointment in the schedule. The creator was not terribly surprised since the office used a worn diary full of names, contact details and scribbled notes. This experience drove the seasoned IT professionals behind Bookeo to create the many features and functions available to professionals and their clients.
There are numerous appointment setting applications available today. Bookeo really doesn’t do anything that hasn’t been done before. However it does compile all of those features into one neat and tidy application. The Bookeo system is easy to master and many professionals may find that they prefer the look and layout when compared to similar appointment setting applications.
The Bookeo website welcomes visitors with a sleek blue, white and orange color scheme highlighted by green, yellow and vibrant color images. A newcomer can easily navigate the site using the buttons listed at the top of the page and others positioned throughout the animated homepage. The actual application is very professional, using multi colored bar graphs and other design elements to provide the user with easy to read information about their appointments, clients and schedules.
New users can click on the blue and white “Sign Up” tab at the top, right hand corner of the homepage. This takes the user to the registration form which asks for an email address, password, preferred language (which includes English, Spanish, Italian, and French), and terms of service agreement. After entering the information, the user can click the green and white “Sign up” button at the bottom of the form. The next page asks for the user’s general information, including first and last name, business name, country location, time zone, accepted currency, and how the user calls their staff (job titles). The site also asks the user for their desired Bookeo URL.
Bookeo users are given five membership plan options to choose from. The first is the free membership which allows one staff member, standard features which include unlimited bookings, reports, picture and video capabilities, customer database, SSL encryption, real time updates, customer feedback, and other customization options. The Solo membership upgrades to include revenue booster features such as PageClone integration, store credit card details, gift vouchers, online payments and deposits, memberships, promotions, prepaid packages, staff and admin logins, outlook and iPhone synching and PCI DSS compliance for about $15 per month. The Small membership costs about $30 and upgrades to allow three staff members. The Medium membership allows up to five members and costs around $40. The Large membership costs about $80 and allows access for up to 10 staff members.
Bookeo is a helpful tool for businesses and individual professionals. Users can set up ways for clients to schedule appointments and pay deposits for services to help discourage no shows. The Bookeo design is also appealing and provides a well organized lay out that is easy to navigate for both the user and their clients.
