According to the Rise Up facility a user is required to pay a certain amount to offer their profile more prominence and place it on the top of the Badoo search list.
Badoo.com was initially launched in May 2003; however it was re-launched in September 2007. At the time when Badoo was re-launched with upgraded features and numerous interesting options. Today Badoo has over 14 million registered users and it ranks among the top 100 visited sites available on the net.
The features found on Badoo are not terribly unique and are often found with other social networks and dating websites. What makes Badoo appealing to some is the scope of its user community. Millions of users from all over the globe have created profiles on Badoo. The site provides users with a way to share information about themselves as well as ways to communicate with other users and possibly form friendships or dating relationships.
Badoo has a very fun, upbeat design that encourages a generally positive attitude throughout the site. The colorful logo features playful letters in varying sizes in blue, orange, red and green. The site’s header uses a similar color scheme with light circles, reminiscent of party lights against a black background. User profiles feature an image in the top, left hand corner with online status, age and location information to the right.
A new user can join the Badoo community as soon as they arrive on the homepage. A green box containing the registration form is presented along the right hand side of the homepage. At the top of the box, the user can click a blue and white “Sign in with Facebook” button to register with their Facebook account. Those who prefer to create a new account can enter their email address, first name, date of birth, gender and city location. Links are also available below the Facebook button to log in with Yahoo, Google or MSN credentials.
Badoo welcomes all users for free. Users can log in however they like and return as often as they want to search for more possible matches or friendships on Badoo. I've used badoo for a while now and have to say that it is an absolute shambles. Firstly it's adverstised as "free", which it is. However as a free user you cant message certain people, you are way down in the search results so people cant find you, if someone wants to meet you, you cant see who they are etc, etc. So basically as a free user you dont get much at all. So is it worth paying for these so called superpowers? HELL NO! Why?...Well there are loads of reasons not to waste your money, but some of the main ones are; For what you are paying for it is not worth it. They are very sneaky and usually set up a standing payment without your knowledge. If you use paypal and this happens to you log into your badoo account on a PC and go to your settings page, find payments and delete your paypal account from there system. Another reason not to shell out is, most of the profiles on badoo are fake. It does'nt take a genius to spot this. If you notice a really hot girl that's too good to be true, then it is. Most of the time if you do a reverse image search on google you'll find that their photos have been stolen of various modelling sites, myspace and facebook etc. Scammers are to blame as much as lonely and sad men who seem to enjoy playing the role of a young female. Another reason not to waste your hard earned dough is that badoo hardly ever does anything about these fake profiles. Someone above mentioned that there are'nt enough administrators to delete these profiles? Sorry but that is absolute crap, badoo is a multi million dollar company capable of taking your money, surely they can deal with the hundreds of fake profiles of the likes of Natalie Portman, Jessica Alba and David Beckham. Seriously, how are these profiles approved in the first place. Also badoo makes it too easy to create a false profile. After recieving some abuse from a badoo user, I responded in kind with some bad language and then a complaint to badoo. Shortly after I was banned from badoo, and within 5 minutes I was able to create another account with the same exact photos I had previously used. Now for something I'm itching to explain. Badoo mobile works on location services, locations are notoriously easy to spoof. I could fake my location very easily with an app that could make me appear to be living just metres away from you. So beware, that pretty blonde medicine student living a few miles from you that you're talking to, is most probably a middleaged sexually frustrated psycho from half way around the world. So in short, dont waste your money or your time on badoo. And if you choose to ignore my advice, atleast have to sense to question the motives and reality of the people messaging you. Be safe Jason (if that's my real name)

Filled with fakes. Did a spot check, and out of 50 people supposedly online, 36 profile pictures were stolen from other dating sites (used TinEye and Xerox similar picture search). What do you expect... a mysterious Russian in charge and an Israeli suggesting an IPO... Scam bam thank you mam.
